Vikas Malik, MD
Dr. Malik is board certified in both Child-Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. He completed residency in Adult Psychiatry followed by a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Mt. Sinai-Elmhurst Hospital Center, NY. Upon completion, he worked for Behavioral Health Network, Inc., the largest non-profit mental health facility in Western Massachusetts. He also held teaching position at Baystate Medical Center through Tufts University, Boston as Assistant Clinical Professor. Dr. Malik was actively involved in teaching /supervising residents as well as Advance Practice Registered Nurse(APRN). Over the years, Dr. Malik has found a special niche for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and now concentrates on children, teenagers and young adults to help them and their families cope with myriad of psychiatric conditions.

Douglas Reed, PMHNP-C, FNP-C
Douglas Reed, FNP-C, PMHNP-C is a double board certified family and psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience working in a variety of healthcare settings. His nursing career began in Washington D.C. in the ICU where he worked several years before transitioning in the community health setting work as a HIV nurse case manager. He then went on to earn his master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner followed by several years practicing primary care to homeless individuals with severe mental illness. Realizing the strong relationship between mental illness and homelessness, Mr. Reed pursued additional training in psychiatry. Since his arrival in New York City in 2017, he has worked in several outpatient facilities providing psychiatric care across the lifespan. Most recently, he obtained additional training in addiction where he has obtained his DATA waiver to provide addiction treatment to individuals who are opioid dependent. Given the complexity of the healthcare system, Mr. Reed makes every effort to identify each client’s unique needs when discussing treatment options. His approach to patient care is guided by high ethical standards, evidence based practices, and compassion.
Susan Hall, PhD
Dr. Susan Hall is a NYS licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist. She specializes in providing individual services to children, adolescents, and adults using a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy and meditative techniques. Her training and experience in neuropsychology informs her treatment approach by emphasizing the impact of an individual’s neurocognitive profile on social/emotional and behavioral functioning. Dr. Hall spent 12 years working as a school psychologist in special education preschools, where her duties included child-centered therapy, teacher consultation and behavioral interventions, parent training and counseling, and psychological evaluations. She also has extensive experience in various clinical settings providing therapy and comprehensive neuropsychological assessment to a wide range of children and adults.
Dr. Hall earned her BA from Queens College (Summa Cum Laude) and her doctorate from CUNY Graduate Center in the subprogram of Clinical Neuropsychology. She is also trained in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction, which is widely used as a remediation tool for dyslexic students.

Rownak Choudhury, PsyD
Dr. Rownak Choudhury is a psychologist based in Garden City, NY. She received her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Following this, she earned her doctoral degree in psychology from the same institution.
Dr. Choudhury provides individual therapy for children, ranging from behavioral, mood, and attention-deficit disorders. She also counsels parents regarding treatment plans and accommodates group therapy sessions. She is an active member of the Eastern Psychological Association, as well as the American Psychological Association.
Fluent in English and Bengali, Dr. Choudhury is accessible and caters to patients with different cultural backgrounds with care. She is a diligent practitioner and works for the betterment of her patients.

Tammy Bayewitch, LMSW
Tammy is a Licensed Master Social Worker and received her degree from Stony Brook University. Throughout her career, she has been diligently serving the mental health population through her work in community rehabilitation services and providing therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples and families. Tammy has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults with various mental health issues. Tammy engages her clients with empathy and support, which allows them to feel comfortable as they explore and process their internal and external stressors. Through the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Tammy encourages clients to expand their thought process to perceive conflict in a healthier and more productive manner. Tammy has experience working with people with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, personality disorders and mood disorders. More specifically, Tammy has helped clients with personal and environmental issues such as low self-esteem, unhealthy relationships, faulty thinking, societal pressures, substance use, family dynamics and trauma. Tammy’s objective is to create a safe therapeutic environment that fosters openness, acceptance and growth.

Margaret is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in issues related to adolescents, adults and

stressful life circumstances.
Margaret received a Master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY.
Margaret has an extensive history working with adolescents, young adults, adults and families with an
understanding that people grow, and change based on their strengths. Margaret’s work is guided by the
philosophy of assisting clients in putting the pieces of their lives together.

Anna Ebrani, LCSW
I am a Licensed Psychotherapist with many years of professional experience counseling individuals who have been suffering from Depression, Anxiety, Trauma and PTSD symptoms.
I have extensive clinical training and I utilize an eclectic and a holistic approach which is a combination of CBT and Psychodynamic modalities and it also focuses on Mindfulness and Relaxation. I offer individualized and tailored care with a strong humanistic and person centered approach to treatment. I focus on resolving childhood conflicts that can contribute to emotional challenges and I also help my clients modify and ultimately change their negative thoughts and behavioral patterns while empowering them to overcome personal obstacles confidently. I also believe in goal-setting and strategy building. I take pride in the belief that my biggest strengths are my compassionate and warm heart and a genuine desire to help my clients. I am aware that reaching out for help can be hard and anxiety-provoking. Ellen Kipnis, LCSW
Ellen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the evaluation and diagnosis of children, adolescents, and adults experiencing behavioral and socio-emotional challenges. Ellen received her Masters Degree from Rutgers University. Ellen has worked extensively with children, adolescents, families, and adults. Ellen utilizes assessment tools such as, CARS-2 and ADOS-2 for the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and several tools for the diagnosis of ADHD, Anxiety, Depression and other behavioral disorders in children and adults. Ellen provides weekly individual and family sessions, as well as, behavioral modification counseling for Autism and ADHD.

Arielle Mach, LMSW
Arielle is a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with children, teens, and young adults using a strength-based and person-centered approach to therapy. This means that she believes in the resilience of all human beings and works collaboratively and creatively to support her clients. Arielle’s areas of expertise include self harming behaviors, depression, anxiety and panic attacks, low self esteem and self worth, LGBTQIA+ identity exploration, substance use, and sexual trauma. Arielle believes that the most powerful vehicle for healing is fostering a therapeutic relationship rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis. Comprehensive Initial Evaluation
The initial visit takes about an hour and involves comprehensive assessment. It helps if all care providers/parents are present during initial evaluation as it provides a complete picture of the difficulties the patient is facing. Kindly bring with you to the appointment any copies of the prior psychiatric assessments including (but not limited to) neuropsychological testing, discharge summaries from hospital and recent medications. The assesment is followed by a thorough discussion of different treatment modalities available.

Tele-Psychiatry
Wonder Years provides the option of Tele-Psychiatry in the state of NY. Initial appointments must always take place in person however. A Tele-Psychiatry visit will be considered exactly the same as a regular in-person visit and so is the fees.

Second Opinions
Sometimes parents and other treatment providers like psychiatrist, psychologists and primary care physicians want a fresh look at the diagnosis and treatment. These evaluations are as comprehensive as initial evaluations and involve about an hour. It is recommended that copies of prior assessments, psychological testing, discharge summaries from hospital and recent medications be brought with you during the appointment.
