Katty is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a multifaceted background in the nursing field. She received her undergraduate from Dominican University and pursued a career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Westchester Medical Center. It was here she was able to foster a passion in advocating for one of the most vulnerable patient populations and their mental health well being. Her fondness for speaking with patients and families in difficult times inspired her to transition to a role as a transplant coordinator, and later on, administrator, in the field of organ donation. The impact of this time in her career and the work she was able to accomplish with families and donors inspired her to pursue a degree in the mental health field. She achieved her Master of Science in Nursing and certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP) at Pace University. Outside of her work in critical care, she has experience working in acute psychiatric units and outpatient settings, working with a variety of diagnoses across the mental health spectrum. Her passion remains in improving situations and changing outcomes for the better.
