Wonder Years was founded with the goal to offer mental health care that is affordable. And we abide by a model such as the ‘hybrid’. A few of our providers are considered out of network while few are in-network with particular insurances. Kindly inquire with the practice about the provider you are seeking services from. e.g. Dr. Malik is an in-network provider for most commercial plans offered by Cigna & Aetna but is an ‘out-of-network’ provider for all other insurances. That means he does not accept insurances other than Cigna & Aetna.
We do provide paperwork that includes receipts and diagnosis codes to help you with the reimbursement from your insurance company for all the psychiatric services you have received from us for out of network providers. It is helpful to call insurance companies in advance to determine the level of coverage.

Policies
Cancellation/No show
Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you can’t make it to your appointment. No shows or Cancelled visits within 24 hours will be billed for the full fee.
Late arrival
If you arrive at your appointment late, it’ll remain up to the discretion of the doctor to fulfill the appointment. Nonetheless, the patient will be billed at full fees for the scheduled time. We also can’t promise extra time outside the designated appointment slot.
Credit card on file
Wonder Years strives to provide great health care at a very affordable price. In order for us to continue to provide high-quality services, Wonder Years strictly follows a ‘Credit Card on File’ policy.
The credit card on file can be used to pay for visits to the clinic. The credit card will also be charged in case the appointment is canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment as well as for Missed Appointments & No Shows. This is in accordance with the Agreement a patient signs before commencing treatment/evaluation at Wonder Years.
About Dr. Vikas Malik
Dr. Malik is board certified in Child-Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. He attained his residency in Adult Psychiatry and a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Mt. Sinai-Elmhurst Hospital Center in New York. After completion, he provided his services at Behavioral Health Network, Inc., Western Massachusetts’ biggest non-profit mental health facility.
