Cara Koleba Wonder Years

Cara attended St. John’s University’s Doctor of Pharmacy Program where she acquired a strong foundation of knowledge in pharmacology and comprehensive medication management. She left the program in her fourth year to pursue nursing after realizing she was interested in a more direct form of patient care. Cara attended Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with the intention of becoming a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). After graduating from Hunter with her BSN, she attended Pace University’s Lienhard School of Nursing for the Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner Program. Cara started her clinical work at Phoenix House in Brentwood, NY where she cared for patients with a dual diagnosis: someone diagnosed with a mental health condition and a substance use disorder. Cara finished her clinical work at Wonder Years Psychiatric Services PLLC in Garden City under the supervision of Dr. Vikas Malik. She graduated from Pace in December of 2022 with her Master of Science in Nursing and became a board certified PMHNP in February of 2023. Cara is honored to be a part of the Wonder Years team and is enthusiastic to provide psychiatric care with compassion, attentiveness, and competence.
