Services

  • Comprehensive Initial Evaluation

The initial visit takes about an hour and involves comprehensive assessment. It helps if all care providers/parents are present during initial evaluation as it provides a complete picture of the difficulties the patient is facing. Kindly bring with you to the appointment any copies of the prior psychiatric assessments including (but not limited to) neuropsychological testing, discharge summaries from hospital and recent medications. The assesment is followed by a thorough discussion of different treatment modalities available.

  • Second Opinions

Sometimes parents and other treatment providers like psychiatrist, psychologists and primary care physicians want a fresh look at the diagnosis and treatment. These evaluations are as comprehensive as initial evaluations and involve about an hour. It is recommended that copies of prior assessments, psychological testing, discharge summaries from hospital and recent medications be brought with you during the appointment.

  • House Calls

Dr. Malik provides Home visits in Manhattan, Queens and some parts of Brooklyn. These visits are for both Psychiatric Evaluation and Follow-up visits. Call us for more details.

  • Tele-Psychiatry

Wonder Years provides the option of Tele-Psychiatry in the state of NY. Initial appointments must always take place in person however. A Tele-Psychiatry visit will be considered exactly the same as a regular in-person visit and so is the fees.

  • College Plan

Starting 2017, Wonder Years now offers a reduced payment plan for college enrolled young adults who meet certain strict criteria. Under this plan there are very limited spots. Call us to find out more about this plan and see if it meets your needs.

  • Follow up visits

The duration and interval of follow up visits is dependent on the complexity and treatment needs of each individual patient.
